South India’s Only Luxury Train Experience

Whether you’re drawn to spiritual journeys or eager to explore wildlife, the Golden Chariot offers an experience tailored for every traveler. South India’s diverse states each boast unique cultures, with distinct regional subcultures rich in history. Choose from three captivating itineraries, each unfolding a different story and showcasing the region’s heritage.
The train’s guest carriages are named after the great dynasties that shaped South India’s history. Each carriage features four elegant cabins, offering a mix of twin and double beds. In total, there are 13 double-bed cabins, 30 twin-bed cabins (M.E. Vid), and one specially-abled cabin designed for accessibility.
Dine in style at the two onboard restaurants, Ruchi and Nalapaka, serving exquisite international cuisines alongside a variety of authentic Indian dishes. For drinks, Madira bar offers a curated selection of fine wines, beers, and spirits.
Relax and rejuvenate at Arogya, the spa and fitness center, where traditional Ayurvedic therapies blend seamlessly with modern workout facilities.

Arrive at Yeshwantpur Railway Station at around 08:30 hrs. Welcome ceremony & check-in, as train departs by 09:45 hrs. Lunch served onboard as train arrives at Nanjangud by 13:30 hrs. Proceed for a game drive at Bandipur Wildlife Sanctuary (Approx. 1 hr 30 mins drive). Evening safari with possible Tiger sightseeing from 16:30 to 18:30 hrs. Return to the train by 20:15 hrs, and enjoy dinner onboard. Overnight on train at Mysuru.
Have a scrumptious breakfast on the train & then proceed to visit the Mysore Palace. Return to the train for lunch, after that optional visit to Srirangapatnam, which is famous for its ancient temples. Dinner onboard as the train proceeds to Banavar by 8pm. (Water & refuelling.)
After breakfast on board, disemabark at Banavar Railway Station, proceed to visit the Hoyasaleshwara Temple at Halebidu. Return to train for lunch. The Golden Chariot train then proceeds to your next destination – Chikkamaguluru, known for it’s coffee plantations. In the evening, visit one of the coffee plantations, discover the process, and enjoy dinner there, along with cultural activities. Return to the train as it proceeds for Hospet for Hampi.
Post on-board breakfast, proceed to visit the former capital of the Vijaynagar Kingdom – Hampi. A UNESCO World Heritage Site, the ruins at Hampi tell a tale of opulence and grandeur of the kingdom. Return to the train for lunch. In the evening relax onboard or visit Anegundi as an optional activity. Dinner onboard as train proceeds to Goa.
After onboard breakfast, at 9am, proceed to visit the churches of North Goa. Return to the train at noon. Lunch onboard as the train proceeds to Madgaon (another city in South Goa.) Gala dinner at an exclusive hotel venue with local music and dance performances. Then return to the train and depart for Bengaluru.
Breakfast shall be served onboard as the train arrives back at Yeshwantpur Railway Station. Complete check-out formalities and say goodbye as your journey comes to an end.
This tour has an age range of 12-70 years old, this means children under the age of 12 will not be eligible to participate in this tour. However, if you are over 70 years please contact us as you may be eligible to join the tour if you fill out G Adventures self-assessment form.
